On the 21-st of June 2005, gallery Paris will open exhibition named “Re-creations” by the artist Boiko Kolev.
The exposition represents copies of different paintings and drawings of Leonardo da Vinci. Some of them are “Mona Lisa”, “Lady with an Ermine”, “Horse”, “Self-portrait”, “Izabela D’Este”, etc.
Asked, why he “re-creates” originals of famous artists, and not creates authors works, he answered: “I believe, that the reiteration of the Great Masterpieces of Art is like the Art of Opera. Only people, who can appreciate the good Opera singing, are able to appreciate one good replica.”
